Testing Categories

Apex Car Repairs Ltd undertakes testing in the Class IV or Class VII categories, which cover passenger cars, light commercials and public service vehicles such as ambulances and taxis. Book an inspection at a time to suit you and we will have inspectors available on the day.

If your model passes the MOT testing inspection, we issue you with a new certificate which will remain valid for the next 12 months.

Approved Inspectors

All MOT testing inspectors at our garage in Chingford have approvals in place to inspect customer vehicles and understand the latest DVSA regulations. This means your car, LCV or public service vehicle will be tested fairly by personnel who know exactly what they are doing.

Waiting Area

Customers who have booked in for MOT testing can drop off their cars in the morning and collect them later or, if you would rather wait while inspections are performed, we have a comfortable viewing area where you can enjoy hot or cold refreshments while we are at work.

Should you wish to wait, you will be able to watch the inspector for the duration of a test. Inspections will last for 45 to 60 minutes.

MOT Repairs

Should a vehicle fail the annual inspection, and subject to approval from the customer, we can repair MOT failures and provide you with a free re-test based on qualifying criteria. For small-scale work, we can often repair or re-inspect vehicles on the same day as the test.

Rectification work can include brake repairs or exhaust repairs but, whatever needs doing, we complete jobs to a professional standard.

You can book in for MOT testing up to 1 calendar month ahead of your current certificate expiring with the renewal date carried over, so it is advisable to arrange appointments at the earliest opportunity.
